During the recent Tensity bootcamp, I engaged in an intensive exploration of
teaching and learning methodologies within the education industry, focusing on
student-centered approaches such as problem-based learning, cooperative learning, collaborative learning, and the jigsaw puzzle method.
Majority of participants were experienced educators already established in the field. Throughout the bootcamp, I experienced a range of emotions, including anxious, excitement, curiosity, and satisfaction.

In the TENSITY workshop, I learned about teaching strategies. TENSITY is
divided into three teaching strategies: active learning, cooperative learning, and problem-based learning.
I started with the simplest strategy, active learning, which taught me how to conduct pair activities that last for just 3 minutes, such as Think-Pair-Share. After getting accustomed to pair activities, the level was upgraded to group activities in cooperative learning.
In cooperative learning, I experienced a jigsaw activity. After becoming familiar with how to manage team activities, the facilitator guided us through experiencing problem-based learning, which utilizes facilitation team skills. The facilitator scaffolded my learning from easy to hard strategies.

I attended the Tensity Bootcamp for 14 weeks. I am currently an English tuition teacher for young children. Previously, I became a teaching assistant when I pursued my PhD at Newcastle University, UK. However, I would like to further my knowledge in teaching and learning to enhance my teaching skills.

Alhamdulillah, after 14 weeks, I have finally managed to successfully complete this first session.
There is much that has been learned throughout this program. Initially, I only knew about each topic studied in theory, such as “active learning, flipped classroom, and Project Based Learning”.
This program was conducted entirely online. After participating in the program, I now have a clearer understanding of what is meant by ‘active learning’, how to conduct a ‘flipped classroom’, and also PBL. This program has greatly helped me to better plan activities that can be conducted with students, especially when involving 7-year-old students using the ‘Book End Model’. This program has also made me always brave to try, search, and improve on existing shortcomings.

In a flipped classroom approach, like the one you’ll experience in our bootcamp, the conventional model of homework and lectures is flipped, offering students exposure to creating and curating content. They engage with direct instruction, often through video lectures, outside of class, leaving valuable classroom time for interactive exercises, collaborative projects, and facilitating the class using a flipped-cooperative learning strategy, all while ensuring effective student assessment.

This seminar is suitable for anyone interested in learning Canva from basic to advanced levels and wants to become a Canva instructor.
This seminar is conducted online.
Participants need to have a Canva account and a computer that can support the use of Canva. Participants also need to have basic computer and internet usage skills.
You can register by filling out the registration form available on the Skolar Malaysia website. After that, you will receive a confirmation email containing information to access the Bootcamp and the online learning platform.
You can get the bonus if you register immediately. There are three types of bonuses provided, namely a bonus for the first five participants, a bonus for the first 15 participants, and a bonus for becoming a co-trainer.
This course consists of a 12-week module that covers an introduction and practical training using Canva, design principles, advanced design techniques, branding, personal branding, modern teaching, and a capstone project.
