Mohd Akif Farhan bin Ahmad Basri is a consultant clinical psychologist, PhD candidate, and best-selling book author. He has over five years of experience in the clinical setting and is passionate about advocating for mental health awareness. Akif has served as a part-time psychology lecturer, resident clinical psychologist, and visiting clinical psychologist. He is also a board member, professional panelist, and co-host for Sembang Tepi Kak Gee. Akif is a full member of the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology and the Malaysian Psychological Association.

Akif has a PhD candidacy in the Faculty of Medicine at the National University of Malaysia and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, a Master’s in Developmental Psychology, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the same institution. He has given invited talks to Malaysian student associations, corporate institutions, and public universities.

Akif has professional skills in conducting standardized psychological assessments and is proficient in conducting Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Mindfulness techniques. He is fluent in spoken and written Bahasa Melayu and English and has beginner-level spoken Mandarin.

Akif has also published academic research and has made appearances on mainstream media outlets such as Astro Ria and Bernama TV. He is a best-selling book author, a Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka Reading Icon, a Young Professional Male Icon, and a social media influencer.
